Habitat Homeowners
Our homeowners are the hard-working people who keep the lights on in our community. They are bank tellers, teacher’s aides, custodians, administrative assistants, nurses, and other essential support staff who serve in our schools, hospitals, local businesses, and public offices. Many work for local taxing entities, publicly traded companies, and in retail, hospitality, food service, and childcare. Earning between 30–60% of the area median income, they often find it difficult, if not impossible, to secure safe, stable, and affordable housing in our area. Through partnership and perseverance, they work alongside us to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. Some of their stories are below.
